Tour of Graves

Me and my Mom

 So it is hard to describe Tour of Graves...Yes, I came up with the name to describe the day we go and check on all the graves of our family members in DeLeon.  This time Mom drove there.   When we got there, I brushed all the graves in the plots and she made sure the flowers looked just right.  Both cemetaries were well kept and it brought comfort to both of us.  Then we were off to Dairy Queen and back to Waco.  Tour of Graves completed.

At Christmas I placed a bid on an item that would be custom knitted for me.  Isn't it amazing?  Dorothy made it from a photo of Campy.  I have it on our guest bed.  I will treasure it.

And I don't like blue!  So why do I like this wall paper?

I think bright colors energize us. 

But I can't imagine a wall of this energy.

My new valance

First, I found this fabulous fabric in Waco. 

Loved it and the price was right.

Next, I had a friend make a valance out of it. 

Finally, I got John to hang it up.

I am so proud of it.

This is what I have been thinking as I get wood floors in  the master bedroom. 
I can't believe the mess!

Campy is one of the reasons we needed new carpet.

John decided that the closet should be painted while all the items are out. 
So we were off to HomeDepot to get paint. 
One more night in the guest bedroom.

Steampunk Jewlery

Yesterday, I went to my first ever (and not my last) Articrafters at Ecclectic Expressions.  We listened to one of the members talk about steampunk style and then we all started arting.  Here are my creations...
