Poppa Rollo's Pizza

So I had dinner with a life long friend and her family.  I think we have known each other for 25 years.  We started talking and it was hard to stop almost three hours later.  And the pizza was wonderful.

My Journal

I bought these journals for 25 cents each and I decorated one.  I made it from scraps I had on the table.  I bought lots so that I can share them at the homeless shelter.  Did I mention that I am going to teach an art class at the homeless shelter on Aug. 11th?  This is my prototype.

Double R Burger-Waco

We got lunch at Waco's Double R Hamburgers.
Yummy!

HEB

My favorite grocery store...HEB in Waco.

not a political statement

This is NOT a political statement...just a cool sign.

Mom's kitchen table

So I arrived in Waco with all my crafting stuff and we took over the kitchen table...

Waco High School

I was driving around Waco and couldn't help but drive by my old high school.  It brings back such great memories.

Junkin' Jana

I just have always loved old vintage junk items.  They are my favorite.  My paternal grandparents, having survived the Great Depression, never threw anything away.  On their farm, they had the "old house" and there were so many treasures in it.  The house may be gone now--but not the memories and the love of these types of treasures.

Harts N Crafts

Ok...I found the advertisement slogan so unique that I had to go in..."need a gift for the girl who has everything?" then go to Harts N Gifts.  It located right by the Baylor Spirit Shop.  I think I have found another great new store...

Bloom and Bee Swanky...

Here are some photos of Bloom and Bee Swanky-Waco.

school supplies are here

Went to Waco's Walmart and the school supplies are here.  I think this is my favorite time of year.

Necklace

So here is a necklace I made at the stamp convention...just had time to photo it.  I wanted it to be purple and white.  Go Frogs!

Looking for letter "m"

Mom and I went to one of my favorite store in Waco today.  We went to Bloom and Bee Swanky.  I decided I wanted some scrabble tiles for my scrapbook pages.  Here we are looking for "m"s...

lunch anyone....

I am meeting a friend for lunch at one of my favorite Waco resteraunts, Kitok's.  I have been going there for years and I remember when my dad took me there for the first time.  I had a cheeseburger, oriental fries, and a coke.  YUMMY!

Waco Monday!

Last night Campy decided that she did not want to sleep with me so she slept with my parents.  So you can call it a TWO DOG NIGHT at the Singleton house.  :)

Mom woke me up wanting to scrapbook--you should see the kitchen table.  It looks like a craft store exploded on it!  Also, she had on her favorite TV show, Golden Girls.  YIKES!

Had lots of fun today and ran errands.  It is so hot but just as it started to get dark...rain.  I am looking forward to seeing friends on Tuesday and Thursday.  Must go scrap...

Found Poem

Found this Poem at the GASC and wanted to post it....Author Unknown
  • Things to Remember...
  • Faith gives dreams the power to come true.
  • Love is the driving force of life.
  • Reach for the sky with everything you do.
  • Be open to all possibilities.
  • Happiness is a choice made everyday.
  • Words have power--speak thoughtfully.
  • Bloom where you are planted.
  • Allow your heart to grow wild
  • Be your best always.

Waco Bound

I am Waco bound in nine hours and I just started thinking about what I am taking and packing.  YIKES!  I have a pile of stuff that I am taking but I will be there a whole week.  What will I need?

John with Felt Man

John and Felt Man
So I have been seeing these felt animals and people on Etsy.  I loved them but didn't love the price.  And I found a real cheap one in Dallas.

Back to the City-Junkin' in Dallas

As much as I love the country--I must admit that I am a city girl.  So back in the city I drove to a stamp store and two antique malls.  Is payday anytime soon?

Trip to the Farm

Home on the Range
Molly -one of the three baby goats
Norma Jean
Three of seven kittens.  I wanted to bring one home...if only they could stay this small.
Momma and Baby Horse
Road trip to Mrs. Elliott's farm in Hamilton County.  We saw some many wonderful things including: cows, goats, kittens.  We ate one inch grilled steaks and then got lost on the drive home.  It was an exhausting but AMAZING day!

Art Lesson Monday Gift

This photo does not do it justice.  My art teacher took an old box and started covering it with newspaper and then used one of my stamps on it.  It is amazing and is placed in a prominent spot in the studio.  I love it!

Art Lesson Monday 3

The first photo shows what I did with a chip board heart book.  I painted it blue and green.  Used black ink everywhere and then stamped on it.  I used some of my new stamps from the stamp convention.  Notice the face and the skeletons.  The second photo shows a 25 cent album I found at a garage sale.  I grunged it up and now it is going to hold photos of my baby, Campy.

Art Lesson Monday 2

This girl is drawn mostly with Sharpies.  Can you see her wings?  Her title is "Mom's tomboy put on wings."  Also, note this is my Melancholy girl put on a collage.  She sure did morph.

Art Lesson Monday 1

Here is a $1.00 photo frame that I painted and put one of my girls in it.  She is sitting on my desk in the studio.  I think she is ticked off because she is trapped in a frame.

Cabbage Rose-Fort Worth

Last wk. I went to this fabulous material store---Cabbage Rose.  I loved everything and bought tons...I don't even sew well but I think I can use them in scrapbook projects. I think I have a new addiction.

New Campy Layout

New Campy photos

I can't wait to scrap these adorable photos of my baby...Campy.
I love our neighborhood!  David and Janet have a peach tree in their backyard and picked peaches yesterday.  So yesterday, we got a surprise visit and peaches.  I just love it!  I am thinking a peach cobbler is needed.
