Edge of Glory-Lady Gaga

LOVE THIS SONG by Lady Gaga!

I'm on the edge of glory
And I'm hanging on a moment of truth
Out on the edge of glory
And I'm hanging on a moment with you
I'm on the edge

The edge

The edge

The edge

The edge

The edge

The edge

I'm on the edge of glory

And I'm hanging on a moment with you...

some drawings inspired by Picasso

I had so much fun at the Kimball viewing the Picasso and Braque exhibit.  I took my pencils and sat down and just went with it...

Last day of Freedom (almost)

So today was my last day of summer in town....only one more week of freedom.  John took the day off and I slept until noon, went to lunch at Texas de Brazil, The Kimball, and bought boots at Justin's.
 It was a great day!
Thank you for a great day!

Journals at ALS

I volunteer at the Arlington Life Shelter once a month and teach Art with Jana.  I had almost 30 residents the other night and we made art journals.  I was a huge hit.
See me to the far left?

Love her hair!  She loved making her journal so much I left her with scissors. crayons, and glue.
I can't wait to see what she made.

A true artist...

So much fun!

More blank layouts

So there are times during the year when I just don't have time to create a whole layout so here are some of my ready made ones (some are leftovers from GASC):

Love the pink robots!

Love Graphic 45 Steampunk!

Steam punk mix...

I would love for this to be a journal entry.

Victorian Tea lunch in Maybank

Lunch was yummy; soup, sandwich and quiche.  I would go back anytime.
The entrance to the tea room.

fun stuff!

Look at these tissue paper flowers.  The base was a jar lid.

I can't get enough of these tissue paper flowers.

A wild time in Maybank...

We were suppose to leave a layout at the retreat to document our time there.  We cut out models from a magazine and then glued our heads on them.  We are not like the others!

packed and ready to go...

Here I am headed out for my four day art retreat in east Texas, Heritage House Farm

This is our art room.

This is the bedroom, you can't see my twin bed.

School Supplies are on the shelves!

Yes, I know it is not healthy to want every Sharpie in every color but when I heard about this 80's glam limited addition--I just had to have it!  And while I was at Wal-Mart, the school supplies were on the shelves.  LOVE IT!

Smash!

My new SMASH stuff arrived.
K and Company told me that I might not get it until late Aug. but it arrived.
I must admit that it wasn't worth the price and shipping.  :(

Dallas part two

Here are some photos of a recent trip to Stamp Asylum in Plano....
Love the colors of this raw silk ribbon.  I wanted to buy the entire display.

Bought these Santos hands.  I can't wait to use them.

The amazing things you can do with Tim's metal.

Love Frida and love this book.  It makes me want to get out my metal and create.

I think I am getting addicted to hands.

This was hanging in the bathroom and I just loved it!

This is what to do with small canvases.
And there is a magnet on the back.
What a great idea!

Another mini-canvas.

Christmas box using Tim's stuff.  Love thinking about cold weather in this Texas heat.

Halloween box.  Love the skeletons!

I think this will be my new motto!

Dallas with Nicki part one

So I drove to Dallas and we went to buffalo exchange.  It is a vintage store...but I just don't think 80s stuff is vintage.
